“Cake or pie and why?”
Small complaint: In the bonus putt putt gateau fondant is called a chocolate cake, this is incorrect. Gateau is French for cake but fondant is simply a type of icing. A Gateu Fondant au Chocolat would be a chocolate cake

Cake, no contest. Just have a real issue with the textures of cooked fruit, so if I did have a pie it would have a chocolate or mousse filling, though banoffee I find ok. Talking of cake, new episode of GBBO to look forward to tonight, yay!

I made this a few times on vacation with the most red strawberries I’ve ever seen and homemade biscuits it was AMAZING!!!

I think because the base cake is vanilla or white cake that you then soak in the three types of milk. Wouldn’t that be right?

Pumpkin pie, always best. But otherwise, it depends more on what kind and how it's made, because a low salt low cholesterol diet doesn't leave a lot of room for the way most desserts are made. That means I lean more towards cake lately, simply because I'm better at making my own cake than pie 😆

I guess pie since I really like chocolate pudding pie and cheesecake (apparently it's actually considered a pie despite the name). BUT...can I just say desserts in general? My absolute favorite is tiramisu and that's neither a cake nor a pie. lol.
