“What's your favorite mythology to read about?”

good morning, lil snackers! 😃 we're having a bit of a rough start this week, but the team has been warned 🔥 we'll have today's games as soon as they fix it, hold tight! 💪🏼

Norse, since it's so different and with so many different values and ideas than more mainstream ones
Icarus and Daedalus

no new games for 20/10 still.... still showing the latest one being yesterdays ?

I'm guessing lilsnack have been affected by the AWS outage, so will probably fix the lack of games when they get in to work.

the team is aware of the problem, please be patient! 😊

500: INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR Code: INTERNAL_FUNCTION_INVOCATION_FAILED ID: lhr1::x4st2-1760947958991-2a1a0d7abb09

Anyone else getting the above, or no new daily puzzles? xXx💜xXx

I got the same error and the lil snack games on buzzfeed are still 10/19.

This and other errors.

the team is aware of the problem, please be patient! 😊

I can't see games for 20th, is it not fixed yet?

not yet! the team is aware, please be patient! 😊
Greek - for all greek Mythology and musical lovers i HIGHLY recommend Epic the Musical <3

Greek

My actual name being Loki, this was extra fun <3 And norse mythology, of course, although I like myths in general.

None.. I prefer reality

The varied mythologies of India will always appeal to me. (Thank goodness for classic Amar Chitra Katha, the foundation of Indian comics...)

I absolutely love all of mythology this has been by far one of my easiest days

We're aware of an issue with the countdown timer! We're fixing now but just to confirm, the games will go live at 12PM midnight like they always have.

This is now fixed, sorry for the confusion!

12 p.m. is noon, and 12 a.m. is midnight
pomeranian fantasy
Harry potter

All of it
Percy Jackson!
Greek

Greek, (PJO fans RISE UP🔥), and norse cuz I am norse
Welsh. I love all those tales and feel a bit of kinship with them!

Norse or Welsh. Norse because the gods aren't immortal, their life is tied to their honor. Welsh because it's the Ur-base for a lot of European mythology thematically

All of them! Egyptian and Norse probably are my favorite, but it's all fascinating to me. Mythology underpins a culture, defining values and virtues. If you want to understand a people, read their myths.
Egypt but Percy Jackson and the game Hades got me into Greek!

My favorite mythology is Marvel Comics. 😁

Norse !!! Also pretty much anything regarding India. It’s all just SO COOL.

P.s. For anyone looking to have a hoot and a half, I highly recommend “Norsemen” on Netflix. It’s HILARIOUS. Think sitcom, but dark humour and set in Viking era Norway. Absolutely hysterical and painfully underrated lol

Ooh definitely checking that out thank you

@skalbagga Happy watching!’ 🇳🇴 if you do actually watch it lemme know your verdict hahaha
POLYNESIANI

Hi all! There was a mistake yesterday where the games went live early. All players will be getting streak credit for playing the 17th if you weren’t able to play the games. Simply play a game and your streak should recover! Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hey all! The fix to give everyone credit for playing on the 17th is rolled out. You should see your streak recovered after playing a game if you lost it because of the publishing glitch. Please let us know if you still have any issues!

as always, the Lil Team being the MVPs! ❤️🔥

@LilTravis and @LilRyRy - is the new start time for games now Midnight player's local time or will it be going back to midnight Pacific Time? My game clock yesterday counted down to midnight my time, but I didn't have new games available at midnight. I am East coast US.

It’ll be midnight pacific!

@LilTravis is that Pacific Daylight Time or standard? I think there's the bug again where the countdown charges but the games didn't.

Always been fascinated by Greek and Egyptian mythology, but after a trip to Cancun, Mexico my interest in Mayan mythology has greatly piqued.

I do also want to say that the video game Uncharted introduced me to Hindu mythology which is also rather fascinating, so it's safe to say that mythology in general is a favorite for me.

Greek mythology
Greek and Egyptian.
I studied Greek and roman history so Greek Mythology is def my fave

Wow when did you study mythology? Where I live we only do that in the third grade

I adore greek mythology

Stories where the booze fairies magically refill my fridge with beer while i slumber

But have you seen the green fairy?

I have!!! That stuff will knock ya on your butt!!!

Ah, that would be Celtic, Irish specifically 😆

I love Greek mythology. The story of Orpheus and Eurydice is my fav. Oh and Icarus! ☀️

Have you seen the Broadway musical Hadestown? It's on YouTube, it's awesome, you'd love it. Go watch.

Norse

Hey everyone, thanks for playing my day today!! I really enjoy reading about various mythologies, though I've had an increased interest in Chinese and Egyptian mythology as of late. If you have the time, I highly recommend watching the "Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb" documentary on Netflix!
you did a fantastic job with this theme - thanks so much!

YO I LOVE THAT DOCU. It was so freakin cool
Greek!! I loved today’s theme!
Side comment but did you all get this update?? What do you think about it??

I personally don’t like the update. I think it’s trying to do too much and is a little overwhelming

Not a fan. It was perfectly fine before.
Loved this theme, Norse mythology

Hmm not sure if this counts I'd say Fairies

It counts, most european mythologies have fae, although the most known are celtic and gaelic ones.

The Loki horse incident. If you know, you know. ;)

Genderbending jotun male bearing a bestial hookup 8-legged foal child? Hell yeah

Norse mythology is basically a sitcom with a lot of death and abandoned children. Gotta respect it

Because my name is Loki, and I hear a lot of jokes about it, I once dressed up as being pregnant carrying around an echography of a foal XD I even hada a small horse plushie hidden under the tunic so I could "birth" it XD
Orpheus trying to free Persephone from the Underworld

If you haven't watched Hadestown yet, go do. Broadway musical, on YouTube, this is the plot (intertwined with the Hades/Persephone story). It's awesome.

I had no idea Hippocampus was a mythical creature, just thought it was part of the brain🤪

Same here ☹️😟😢😥😦😭😿😓😔😞🙁🥹🥺🙍🏽♂️🙍🏽♀️🙍🏽 xXx💜xXx

Wait until I tell you there's a protein called Pikachurin!

Same, when I was researching for this topic I was really confused. I guess part of the brain is named after a majestic mythical horse... fish... thing.

I guess you haven't seen the Percy Jackson movie or Krapopolis :)

Ayy @GruntledEmployee knows what's up

this is so biased but im very fascinated in the ancient pagan gods my ancestors in ukraine worshipped!!! it's so incredible how we were able to keep soooo many of the traditions alive!!
ooo what traditions have been kept going?

As a ukrainian-american I still do pysanky

@hephaesta me too!!! i help teach how to do them at my old ukrainian school every year!!

@cosmicsapphire theres a lot, like honoring our dead ancestors at various holidays + preparing them food, messages in dreams, tossing flower crowns in the river to get a husband (well this is more done for fun obv), theres a lot + many modernized to tie into christianity! tysm for asking!!!

I can no longer find my group/team we made. Anyone know where it is? Also not of fan of the makeover, I tried, but it's a no for me.

They're going to reintroduce them later, once the bugs have been ironed out of V2. 0 xXx💜xXx

When I clicked on leader board it said groups I believe

At the top of leaderboard hit groups there are twenty group names there hope you find it. ☮️

The Trojan Wars, obviously lol xXx💜xXx

BTW got a false negative for: Highclere Grampus: A strange, seldom-mentioned demon from English folklore, said to resemble a killer whale stuck in a tree and known for emitting terrible wheezing sounds. 😢 xXx💜xXx

Oh wow I've never heard of that before! Might be why it got a false negative. Nonetheless looking it up later haha

Thank you @LilJulianne for the puzzles, and enjoy looking up Highclere Grampus. 🐋🌳 xXx💜xXx
Greek, but also Norse, had a copy of Erik the Viking growing up which I loved to read.
Greek, I never tire of it

Greek and Egyptian! The Odyssey is my favorite story. Also not a fan of this new layout 🤷🏻♀️
odyssey is a great book!

Egyptian

Mahabharata
my mum loves that story - made me watch it when I was a child

I dont really read mythology but Greek mythology is super interesting

Greek

I don’t.

Highly recommend, to anyone
Roman
Greek, love the lore and the amount of gods and goddesses
Greek Mythology, specially the ones involving aphrodite, bc theres alwaysss trouble

So true she's been around the BLOCK.

Roman or Greek

Love love LOVE today's theme! I really like the Greek and Norse myths and lately I discovered the Egyptian and the Indian/Hindi mythology for me. I'm always fascinated with Loki and Athena, so today's quizzes were quite easy for me! Would love a repeat of the theme!

Aw thank you!! There's so much more I wanted to put into today's theme that just wouldn't fit haha. I'd like to do more on Gaelic, South American and Native American mythology (and more if possible!) We'll have to do this theme again soon!

Egyptian, i find that the most interesting

Krapopolus

I like the Nordic stuff
Greek Goddesses

The muses

The incomprehensible sanity-shattering cosmic enormity of terror that even a single glance of the ancient old gods would permanently invoke within every and any one of us. Cthulhu slumbers still.
Love Greek, but also the British Myths around King Arthur and his noble knights.
Greek
Anansi the Spider 🕷️🕸️

I love the fact that every mythos pantheon has a chaos agent. It's Anansi in many African countries, Coyote in North America, Loki in Norse, Dagda himself in Celtic, Lucifer in Christian, etc.
I find Greek Mythology very fascinating.
I don't think I have a favorite, I like mythology in general, whether it is greek, norse, latin, etc. The downside to this is I tend to mix them up a bit...

The Norse Mythology
