Just yesterday I got a pet dog and I never felt so happy. It was a great way to end the year.

Moving to Madrid, spending the first night in our apartment sleeping in the couch because our bed was still in transit.

Shingles forces me out of grad school and I made a drunken disgrace of myself at a wedding, but the most memorable moment of the year was a summer class that went wrong and left me so miserable that I tied a noose around my neck and tried to dive off my balcony
