“How much do you decorate for the holidays?”
Question of the day by Julianne Chute
A lot! Tis the season
50%. I like to do simple decor & not make Christmas throw up every but still make it feel cozy.

Lost my streak again, ugh 😔

I’m shocked that more people would decorate a fake tree.

We have like 6 boxes of Christmas stuff, so we’re pretty well decorated

We used to go all out with our Christmas village since we lived in an apartment and couldn't decorate outside. These past two Christmases, however; have been in our new house and also accompanied by a little one.

Sooo, we put up a few lights outside and our Christmas tree, but not much else because little hands would be all over everything! We will have to think of a different idea on how we can set up our village for next year.
None.

Not a big decoration guy, especially with kids gone now. Too much of a pain to pull it all down and stow it away again.
Only a little sometimes
The tree is covered in ornaments that have collected since the 1960s. There’s still more. Plenty of Peanuts, Harry Potter, Nutcrackers and homemade.

We have a homemade reusable tree – much easier to hang ornaments from, and better for the environment.

That sounds so interesting. What’s it made out of?
🎄 is up from mid-nov to feb 1st 😂
Only as much as my wife makes me.
one set of lights short of the Griswold home
same

As much as possible!

I do nothing. My grandmother does her entire house, growing up we even switched out the furniture! It always looks amazing, but it's weeks of chaos to get there.

My house is decorated Halloween 365. I put up a wreath on the door during Xmas..it's black with purple lights 💜 and I have Jack Skellington as Santa that's as close to Xmas as I get lol
I dont

It'd be fun to see the % of responders who had the same answer in Scattergories, since unique answers is one of the objectives (in the board game).

pre-lit tree. a few ornaments. and im spent.

A moderate amount.
Every room is decorated

I put a tree up, but my partner really couldn’t care less, so we don’t do much.

A decent amount i think. Unlike all the lights and colours 🎄😍

Also: I HATE the chain game.

Not much I don't have children. So I don't see the point. Bah hum bug haha

Shy and Introverted are very different things

Yes! It always makes me mad when people think like that, or that being introverted is something to "fix" like a bad habit!

Exactly! I'm shy, but I much rather be around people than be by myself.

And I’m an introvert, but absolutely not shy!

I just did my Christmas lights out front and hung stockings yesterday, too lazy to do the tree xD

Hardly at all

not at all
A few decals in the windows, a fully decorated tree, village on the dining room table, wreath, stockings, Nativity scene, Advent candles, I'd say a fair amount.

Not really complaining but in todays SWAP, shy is often associated with introverted but they really aren't the same thing. Introverts rise up!

I am not shy. I am an introvert. That means that I don't get energy from others, they drain.

Same! Introverted, but not shy
Let's just say the electric company think they made a mistake when seeing our bill
Not toooo much but I have some really nice staples that go up every year. I bought a tool to put lights up outside and my yard looks beautiful. Not too much, but just enough

My kids always said it wasn’t Christmas until it looked like the garland fairy threw up in our house. It’s not THAT bad anymore. Just kidding.

Kids love the holidays 🥰 it’s fun to see the magic through their eyes

Indeed! They are grown, now. I’m hoping for grandbabies to see the light in their eyes! ♥️

The downwords wreath didn’t had eyesssss :(

On a scale of one to ten (ten being the most) I would say I am at 3

You can see our place from outer space
I think next week theme should be christmas
Anyone else feel like most of the time the chain game things are not common words/terms?!

It’s difficult for sure, sometimes.

They can be a little specific to certain parts of the US sometimes.

just a tree. i prefer to decorate for halloween!

You could do purple and orange lights outside that way it’s kind of both!
I do purple and orange lights so I can use them for both!

I used to decorate outside and inside. Lights all over, mantle decorations, tree, stockings, window decoration, wreaths, and more. Now, I rarely get the tree out. I've become jaded unfortunately.
I know that feeling 🎄☘️

Christmas lights may help with that 😉

I was for a few years. Now I do it for me. Sometimes it helps. Sometimes it doesn’t. I kind of force myself to do it. This year I finally threw out the “couple” ornaments my ex sent me with the rest of the family ornaments. I don’t know why I held on to them for so long.
@PeacefulWalrus good on you - keep the memories that bring only happiness

Lights outside, trees up inside and our mantle is decorated really nice! I love Christmas lights and decor

Same!
Not much, tree and decorations, nothing outside, but love Christmas 🤶

I’m so sad when I see houses that don’t have lights out ☹️

A fair bit.

My house looks like I puked Christmas decorations EVERYWHERE

Yes!

More and more every year on the inside! But not much on the outside as our house is hidden in the woods
Nothing, others do it and I appreciate that
can the topic for one of the upcoming days be the premier league (soccer). It would be an amazing topic for those soccer lovers like me.
Premier league soccer as topics (pls)
Bro I Sole so hard

It's never too much.Great theme

Always depends on my mood and the weather. But at least "some" decoration is a must!

We don't really decorate anymore. No time or money, and old decorations have rotted. We don't have much money for gifts either, so we tend to just have a meal if we can.
That's very sad, but at least you have each other, I hope things improve for you and your family 🫂
Wish I could send you some lights or something
love is the best gift you can have at Christmas - sending you lots from London 💖

Just enough🎄🎄

Not at all. I'm a bit of a Grinch. 😂

A lot we put our tree up and lights also outside the house
