“What's your favorite board game and why?”

Scrabble & Life

Game of Life, Sorry, and Blockus. And Doomlings. Idk why though. But I collect Game of Life like people collect monopoly
Clue, & Scattergorie's for the Trivial part (workin' that Brain🧠 muscle 💪🏽), & Uno card game for the Challenge up against other's 😜👍🏽

Munchkin and Aye, Dark Lord. They are so chaotic in the best way, and has a side of improvisation and theatrics to it (specialy the second one)

Sorry or trouble! Even better, the combination of the two, love it!

I really love those party card games like Apples to Apples, Cards Against Humanity, What Do You Meme?, New Phone Who Dis?, etc. I also have good memories playing Zombicide and 7 Wonders, but it all honestly, I haven't played board games in a really long time.

You should look into Doomlings. Great party game
Clue

Truth bombs by Dan and Phil. It has now been turned into a mean girls board game. I like that you get a new game every time you play and you get to see just how creative the people you are playing with can be. I love saving all of the answer sheets to look back on.

I just remembered Pictureka! exists and I’m changing my answer LOL

Monopoly or Battleship

UpWords

I forgot to say why. It's like a 3D version of Scrabble (you can build words up) so it just takes the fun to another level.

cards against humanity!!

Candy Land, because it’s just a classic board game.

Game called Forbidden Island. I absolutely love it. Its my friends and cousins favorite game to play with me when I see em!

Haven't play that one, but I really enjoyed playing Forbidden Desert.

Cluedo because of having to guess who did the crime, and dixit because it’s fun to come up with different interpretations of cards

Just looked up Dixit and it looks like a ton of fun! I'll definitely have to try it.
trivial pursuit cos my bestie and I are super competitive

CLUE! I love the spooks:’)

Diagon Alley, it never gets boring. #2 Boggle, #3 Risk
I dont have one
Trivial Pursuit
Oh no I lost my streak yesterday! I really thought I played!!

I hate when that happens...like last week, for me 😂

Stratego

I love my Nightmare Before Christmas themed monopoly and I have a vintage Barbie board game from my childhood but I never could play it because it was from the 60s and collectible..but I suppose it's now worth some money!

NBC ❤️

i love scrabble, chess & clue the most but there are soooo many incredible board games id love to play some day! also sequence is really fun!

I love playing Sequence!

Scattergories failed to recognize the board game M. Oh well, still passed.

Clue because you get to solve a mystery! Ticket to Ride, Wingspan, Azul, Tsuro, and Trivial Pursuit get honorable mentions!

Clue for the mystery

Trivial pursuit or Monopoly. As a side note I was disappointed we didn't get the BIG swap this weekend
Clue because it looks like you're solving a crime scene

Scrabble because it’s really fun
Minecraft
Scattergories. You have to hink fast and find answers outside of the common ones if you want to win.
*think fast. Butterfingers
Clue/cluedo - I’m confused about a lot of these scrabble terms - bingo, power squares? Maybe there are new ways to play it nowadays!

Rummikub!
Ludo

After playing two days ago my streak was 132. Yesterday before I started it was 2. Is it possible to fix that. Thanks and have a blessed day!
Not a fan of today’s theme. Not because I don’t like scrabble, but it was a stretch to have this be an entire theme.
I think they could have done board games as a theme and used scrabble for the 2 extra games.

Imma go use this space to complain about the lil snack puzzles lately. Not all players here are Americans, you know. We don't know no Chuck Woolery.

And this is just the example for today's games. Lakety a lot of puzzles are heavy American based.

I'm american and didn't know who Chuck Woolery was.

I will never understand complaints like this I’m sorry. But the team is clearly based in America…why would they be expected to cater to everyone in the world?

Like I would never go to a game maker who’s based in the UK or Australia or Zimbabwe or wherever and demand they cater to Americans. That’s bizarre.
FlamingoKid 100%! If you don’t like it then don’t play. I don’t know everything about every theme but I’m not gonna sit and complain that it wasn’t catered to me specifically 🤣

It's not about catering but exclusion. Take the Monopoly answer; it's US exclusive, but it didn't need to be because there are universal Monopoly squares. The WOF answer could have skipped the guy's name and be more universally understood. Just a little more thought opens the games to more people.
Jamhands, that’s narcissistic behavior. When it doesn’t suit you, you yell about exclusion. They’re not out to get you because they make themes or games about things you don’t know. I didn’t even know what it was and I’m from the US but I’m not crying.
They literally do themes of other countries and ask which country or culture to do next. How is that being exclusive???

It's generational, Chuck was an 80's game show host. You might know pop culture references from your own generation, like maybe who A$AP and Rihanna are, K-Pop bands, what 'Swiftie' or 'rizz' means. I have to ask my kids for answers sometimes. The games are for all ages.
I'm not American, actually Irish, but love the puzzles

@OakensTradingPost Thinking about how to include other people is narcissism... how?
It’s narcissist behavior to want everyone to pander to you. This is a very inclusive game already- you just haven’t played long enough to see all the different cultures and topics there have already been.

I feel like they do a really good job incorporating other countries. For example, in Down words, I have never heard of Carcassonne and learned that it was a German board game. During Flag theme, I never knew the UK called their flag Union Jack. Those are just two examples that came to mind first.

@OakensTradingPost I don’t want them to pander to me. I want them to think more about making the game more accessible to *other people*. I have absolutely no problem getting the answers, but I recognise how they can be so unintentionally US-specific at times and how that excludes *other people*...

At the moment: Seasons and Wingspan
I'm good for random bits of trivia so trivial pursuit is easy. To keep things on a more level playing field, I love Monopoly.

Haven’t played a board game in YEARS. Monopoly is cool, sorry is pretty easy and fun, and I like Life too.
Trivial Pursuit
Flip 7. No notes.

Scrabble, but I've never heard of most of today's answers in relation to it.
Same. I've been playing Scrabble for like 30 years. Wth is a bingo?

came in here to find the answer. Without knowing the English nursery rhyme, who could guess bingo? Horrible

Turns out they're a bunch of US-specific words. A power square is any multiplier, and a bingo is playing all seven tiles from your rack.

@InspiringSeagull A bingo is any play that uses up all seven tiles on your rack. There's a nursery rhyme about a farmer's dog named Bingo.

Chess. So many possibilities to win or lose.

♟️

Tales of the Arthurian Knights

Pandemic is a great coop game. Monopoly if you want to get rid of friends 😂

Taboo & Cards against Humanity
Monopoly.

Dungeons And Dragons xXx💜xXx

I must admit I developed quite a passion for the amount of world building that went into Tokaido...

Trivial pursuit. It takes time to play and you learn things while playing.

Carrom board 🤣
havent played carrom in decades!
Therapy, best Game for big Friend or Family Groups

The Game of LIFE because I love to play it on the Sony PlayStation 1 & 1998 PC CD-ROM.
